Hotel Accademia is located in an ancient building of the XIV century , house of an important Florentine sculptor, Bernardo Cennini, one of the authors of the famous doors of the city Baptistery.
In the Palace it is still possible to admire the beauty of the original stained-glass windows. Recently restored the Hotel is a 2 stars superior, the stairs, the corridors, and the common spaces are made from “Marmo di Carrara” (Carrara Marble) and the rooms have parquet-pavements. All the rooms, finely furnished have a private bathroom, air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, safe box and hair dryer.
In the hotel you’ll also find a small but gracious garden where you can enjoy the Italian “dolce far niente” perhaps drinking a cocktail prepared at the well provided bar of the hotel.
An abundant buffet-breakfast wil be served every morning in the wide hotel hall characterized by an ancient stone-made fireplace.
The central railway station of Santa Maria Novella, the Congress and the Business Palace are situated only five minutes by walk away from the Hotel. The hotel is moreover located very close to the wonderful Cappelle Medicee (Medici Chapels), where is possible to admire some of the greatest Michelangelo's marble masterpiece, 50 meters from the city impressive Dome and within a short walk from all the most important city churches and museums.
